If you need versatile athletic walking shoes to hold custom orthotics and ensure proper body alignment than a line of walking shoes among Ultra-Cambrian models are the best choice. Shoes provide orthopedic-grade cushion to give confidence on the ground without bouncing experience. However, cushion in these models is better than in Birkenstock sandals. In addition, outsole at the all Ultra-Cambrian walkers provide slip-resistance.
Nevertheless to mention, that thicker socks will help if feet are narrow.

I have 4 pairs of these shoes in different colors. I often try other brands, and I always go back to my Cambrian Ultra's. They are the most comfortable shoes for me. I have a wider foot but with the Cambrian brand I wear a B width also I find that I need to go up a half size from what I measure.

I had the Breeze walking shoes before and I just wanted to try this ultra mesh. It is not as comfortable to wear as the breeze one because the sole is not as soft. They look the same but you feel the difference once you use it. The material on the back of the shoes are firmer that it gives the back of my feet soreness after a walk.i guess buying this is the only way to find out since I live far from the store and just ordered it online.

I have Hallux Limitus and need a good support shoe to wear with my custom made orthodics. I used to wear Etonic and loved them but are no longer available. Since then I switched to and have been a faithful size 8D "Cambrian Genesis" running shoe wearer for at least 5 years. Because of limited colour choices I decided to try the "Cambrian Ultra" walking shoe for a change. The Ultra is very supportive and comfortable and would recommend to others to try. I did, I liked it, but I (especially my feet and big toe) still love the Genesis over the Ultra.
