Sno-Seal Original Beeswax Waterproofing shields leather from rain, sun, snow, and salt, and also works effectively on waxed cotton and tent seams. Its beeswax formula dries into a stable, long-lasting layer that stays on the leather’s surface rather than migrating into it. Unlike oils, greases, and animal-fat–based treatments—which can clog pores, trap moisture, reduce insulation, and even weaken or rot the leather—Sno-Seal preserves breathability and protects the material’s integrity. It also enhances comfort in Gore-Tex®-lined boots by allowing perspiration to escape through the leather. By preventing boots from absorbing excess water—Sno-Seal helps keep them lighter, warmer, and drier, reducing fatigue and improving overall comfort.
