Keen Utility Giveaway Terms & Conditions

1. Eligibility: The Keen Utility Giveaway is open only to legal residents of Canada, who are at least eighteen (18) years old at the time of entry. Employees of Canadian Footwear, Keen, Keen Utility and their parent and affiliate companies are not eligible to win. The Giveaway is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, and local laws and regulations and is void where prohibited. Participation constitutes entrant’s full and unconditional agreement to these Official Rules and Sponsors’ decisions, which are final and binding in all matters related to the Giveaway and are not subject to appeal. Winning the prizes are contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.

3. Timing: The Giveaway begins on 4/21/2025 at 9:00 a.m. Central Daylight Savings Time ("CDT") and ends on 5/21/2025 at 11:59 p.m. CDT.

4. How to Enter: No purchase necessary. To participate, you will need a valid email, phone number, name, shipping address as well as answer the questions included on the form in order to submit your entry. All valid shipping addresses must be of the approved address where the prizes will be sent. Failure to provide adequate address information on entry, will result in Sponsor to void submission. Sponsor in its discretion, may also request additional documentation from entrant to confirm entrant’s identity & address.

Limit: One (1) entry per email. Duplicate emails will be void.

The sponsors reserve the right to void any Submission that it finds in violation of these Official Rules, all in its sole discretion.

Released Parties (as defined in Section 8, below) are not responsible for lost, late, stolen, damaged, incomplete, invalid, un-intelligible, garbled, delayed, or misdirected Submissions or failure to receive Submissions due to limitation of third-party; all of which will be void.

5. Sponsor’s Use of Submissions: Completing a Submission consisting of your information will not be used for any marketing or solicitation purposes.

6. Drawings: Three (3) winners will be selected at random. Sponsors’ decisions as to the administration and operation of the Giveaway and the selection of the potential winners are final and binding in all matters related to the Giveaway. Sponsor will randomly select the potential Giveaway winners from all eligible entries received during the Promotion Period, on or around 5/30/2025. The potential winner will be notified by one (1) email attempt, any spam is the responsibility of entrant. If contacted winner is unsuccessful through email, winner will then be contacted by phone. Winner is liable to confirm eligibility and prize fulfillment purposes within two (2) days of the date notice or attempted notice is sent in order to claim prize.

 If potential winners of any prize cannot be contacted, he/she fails to provide any other requested information within the required time period, or the prize is returned as undeliverable, or failure at first attempt for collection, the potential winner is disqualified and forfeits the prize. Receiving a prize is contingent upon compliance with these Official Rules. In the event that the potential winner forfeits the prize or is disqualified for any reason, Sponsors will award the applicable prize to an alternate winner by random drawing from among all remaining eligible entries. Only two (2) alternate drawings will be held, after which the prizes will remain un-awarded.

7. Prize, Approximate Retail Value (“ARV”), and Odds of Winning:

Prizes: Three (3) individual prizes to be won; amongst three (3) individual winners.

ONE (1) Grand Prize Electric or Propane Meat Smoker ARV: $600. Prize subject to Sponsors’ discretion, valid for (1) Electric or Propane Meat Smoker. Value  of prize and shipping rates will depend on winner location and/or preference for collection; as per specified retailer location and item. Due to excessive distance or transportation limitations, certain regions/municipalities which require ferry or plane service for delivery are not qualified. P.O. Boxes are not eligible for delivery. Delivery to specified address amongst entry is not guaranteed. Combined prize total with applicable shipping is up to $600. No cash value, although gift card amount may be awarded dependent on Sponsor preference.

ONE (1) Keen Utility Pair of Work Boots ARV: $400. Value to include the use of an online promotional code, valid for any one (1) work boot within the Keen Utility website. Taxes & shipping included in awarded amount up to $400. No cash value. Prize may also be awarded instore at any Canadian Footwear location but not limited to; dependent on winner location and Sponsor preference. Promo Code may contain expiry.

ONE (1) Keen Utility Pair of Work Boots ARV:  $400. Value to include the use of an online promotional code, valid for any one (1) work boot within the Keen Utility website. Taxes & shipping included in awarded amount up to $400. No cash value. Prize may also be awarded instore at any Canadian Footwear location but not limited to; dependent on winner location and Sponsor preference. Promo Code may contain expiry.

All prizes may be subject to shipping and handling fees, deducted from the total ARV amount, dependent on winner location.

Total ARV: The total ARV of all available prizes in the Giveaway is approx. $1,400.

Odds of Winning: The odds of winning the prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Promotion Period.

For All Prizes: Prizes are non-transferable, and no substitution will be made except as provided herein at the Sponsors’ sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize for one of equal or greater value if the designated prize should become unavailable for any reason. ARVs are determined as of the time these Official Rules were published and the value of a prize may fluctuate. A winner is not entitled to any difference between the ARV and the actual value of the prize at the time the prize is awarded. Where applicable, prize type, size, and all other details will be determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. All other costs and expenses associated with acceptance of the prize that are not expressly set forth herein shall be solely the winner’s responsibility. Prizes are provided “as is” without warranty of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement. Prizes will be fulfilled approximately 2-8 weeks after winner confirmation/conclusion of the Giveaway. Limit of one (1) prize per household. Winners to be drawn on or around May 30, 2025.

8. Release: By receipt of any prize, winner agrees to release and hold Sponsors, Canadian Footwear, Keen, Keen Utility, and their respective dealers, subsidiaries, affiliates, suppliers, distributors, advertising/promotion agencies, and prize suppliers, and each of their respective parent companies and each such company’s officers, directors, employees and agents (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from and against any claim or cause of action, including, but not limited to, personal injury, death, or damage to or loss of property, arising out of participation in the Giveaway or receipt or use or misuse of any prize.

9. Publicity: Except where prohibited, participation in the Giveaway constitutes each winner’s consent to Sponsors’ and its agents’ use of winner’s first name, prize information, province/city and optional photo of winner for promotional purposes in any media, worldwide, without notice or review or approval.

10. General Conditions: Sponsors reserve the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Giveaway, if any fraud, technical failures, human error, or any other factor impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Giveaway, or any event or cause beyond Sponsors’ control (e.g. events such as natural calamities, national emergencies, wide spread illnesses, declarations of war, acts of God, acts of terrorism) interferes with any aspect of the Giveaway, including but not limited to fulfillment of the prize(s), as determined by Sponsor in its sole discretion. In such event, Sponsor, in its sole discretion, may elect to hold a random drawing from among all eligible entries received up to the date of discontinuance and may modify the prizes offered herein. Sponsors reserve the right, in its sole discretion, to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Giveaway, including but, not limited to submitting fraudulent entries, or to be acting in violation of the Official Rules of this or any other promotion or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Giveaway may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and should such an attempt be made, Sponsor reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision. In no event will more prizes than are stated in these Official Rules be awarded. If, for any reason, more prize notifications are sent (or more claims are received) than the number of prizes offered, as set forth in these Official Rules, Sponsor reserves the right to award the intended number of prizes through a random drawing from among all eligible prize claims received. In the event there is a discrepancy or inconsistency between, any other statements contained in any Giveaway-related materials (including printed versions of these Official Rules) and the Official Rules as posted by Sponsor, the Official Rules as posted by Sponsor shall prevail, govern, and control.

11. Limitations of Liability: The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Giveaway; (2) technical failures of any kind, including, but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Giveaway; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Giveaway or the processing of entries; (5) late, lost, undeliverable, damaged or stolen mail; or (6) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Giveaway or receipt or use or misuse of any prize. If for any reason an entrant's entry is confirmed to have been erroneously deleted, lost, not received, or otherwise destroyed or corrupted, entrant’s sole remedy is another entry in the Giveaway if it is possible. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. In the event that production, technical, seeding, programming or any other reasons cause more than the stated number of prizes as set forth in these Official Rules to be available and/or claimed, Sponsor reserves the right to award only the stated number of prizes by a random drawing among all legitimate, un-awarded, eligible prize claims.
